MS polymer adhesives have gained broad adoption in vehicle assembly because they combine structural bonding performance with the processability advantages of a moisture-cure, one-component system. Silantek’s automotive formulations deliver primerless adhesion to electrocoated and powder-coated steel, bare and anodized aluminum, SMC, and a range of engineering plastics including ABS, PA, PC, and PP blends. The cured sealant provides vibration dampening, paintability compatible with OEM coating processes (electrocoat, primer, basecoat/clearcoat), and elastic recovery that accommodates the thermal expansion differentials inherent in multi-material vehicle structures. Sprayable seam sealer variants enable fast application over weld seams, hem flanges, and underbody surfaces with production-line-compatible cure profiles.
