Sealants must maintain adhesion and elasticity through decades of UV exposure, thermal cycling between -40°C and +85°C, and humidity ingress — while remaining chemically inert to the metallized cell surfaces they contact. Conventional acetoxy-cure silicones release acetic acid during crosslinking, creating a documented corrosion pathway for silver bus bars and copper interconnects that can measurably degrade module power output over time. As global PV manufacturing capacity scales toward terawatt-level annual deployment — driven by capacity expansion in India, Southeast Asia, Turkey, and the Middle East — module producers require sealant chemistry that eliminates this corrosion mechanism without sacrificing processability or long-term durability.
MS polymer sealants cure through a neutral mechanism that produces no corrosive byproducts, making them inherently safe for direct contact with metallized cell surfaces, solder ribbons, and electrical interconnections. The chemistry delivers primerless adhesion to aluminum frames, tempered glass, and polymer backsheet materials (including fluoropolymer, polyamide, and PET-based constructions) — simplifying production line integration and reducing per-module processing time. Formulations can be engineered for automated high-speed dispensing with consistent bead profiles at production line speeds, and the cured sealant provides the UV resistance, flexibility, and moisture barrier properties required to support 25-year module performance warranties.
Beyond module assembly, the same neutral-cure platform extends to inverter housing sealing, combiner box gasketing, tracker structural bonding, and cable management applications where non-corrosive chemistry and outdoor weathering resistance are essential.

Frame-to-Glass Sealing

Edge & Backsheet Bonding
